Dandelions: Chain of Seeds is an ambient puzzler for Android and iOS that's all about connections

Pohlm Studio's Dandelions: Chain of Seeds is an ambient puzzler in a similar vein to Platinum Award-winning genetic manipulator Splice, albeit without the special spark that made that game so impressive.

It's all about tapping seeds, twisting them around to slot them into the right combination or chain. In other words, exactly what it says on the tin.

There's a soothing ambient look to the game. The tap-based control scheme is at odds slightly with the atmosphere, though, so the ambience is occasionally disrupted.

Pohlm Studio ramps things up pretty quickly, by the way. Within six or so levels of the start, you'll be faced with a screen that's almost completely filled with seeds you need to attach together in the right way.

In summary, Dandelions: Chain of Seeds is a pretty intriguing experience. And it won Best Indie Game - Critic's Choice Award at Casual Connect Europe 2014. So, that's something.

Dandelions: Chain of Seeds has been out on iOS [buy] for a few months, but it's just gone live on the Google Play Store. It'll set you back £1.80 / $2.99 [buy] on The Big G's digital app store.

There are also free versions of the game available on Google Play [download] and the App Store [download].
