Dancing with the Stars gets a mobile game
There'd have to be cha-cha-cha changes if it came to the UK though

You might not know Dancing with the Stars if you live here in the UK, but you know the format. It's a US reality TV show based on our very own Strictly Come Dancing, and has been as big a hit over there as it is here.
Anyway, it's just got its own mobile game, courtesy of THQ Wireless, which lets fans choose from 16 celebrities and take part in a 16-week virtual competition, cha-cha-cha and jiving their way to success.
It's based around five mini-games, and while it's only on sale in the States there's still a UK influence in the form of judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, who turn up in the game as a result of their appearances in the US show.
Don't expect to see Dancing with the Stars on sale in the UK, of course. But it's made me wonder why the BBC isn't more pro-active here when it comes to mobile games.
The Beeb has stacks of brands that'd be suitable for mobile treatment " Doctor Who, Casualty, Spooks, and Can Fat Teens Hunt?
That last one really isn't made up, by the way. Anyway, c'mon the Beeb, pally up with more mobile game publishers and turn these shows into interactive gold.
