Colorflys flaps prettily onto iPad
Really tiny wings
Back in the days when a quarter of the global was pink, there was nothing English naturalists with big beards enjoyed more than catching butterflies in nets.
Then it was quickly into the killing jar, before being mounted, with the correct Latin description, and everything was present and correct with the world.
Such order is sadly fragmented, and we're not just talking about the Android Market. If you want to catch butterflies now you're better off with games such as Colorflys.
From a chrysalisThe iPad-only app works your brain and your fingers too.
At the start of each of the 60 levels, you've given a set number of different colours of butterfly to collect. This you do by drawing a line around those of the same colour to capture them. You're allowed five mistakes - in terms of the wrong colour of butterfly or other types of flying insect - before it's game over and you have to restart the level.
There are global leaderboards and achievements, and you can let your friends know what you're up to thanks to Facebook and Twitter integration.
Colorflys is available for iPad, for a limited time priced $1.99, €1.59 or £1.19.
You can see how it plays below.
