There are already some famous gaming brothers, but you should find some space in your family for Climber Brothers.

Just out on iOS from Spanish indie developer Esquilax Games, it has you tapping and holding to move the rock-axe-wielding chubby bros - Greg and Jeff - around puzzling levels in which you have to collect objects and make it to the exit tent.

Connected at the waist

The twist is that the brothers are roped together, so you can only move them by keeping one attached to the rock face, while the other swings below on the rope. Obviously, you have to toggle between moving and holding each of them in turn so you can move down and around the rock face.

Making your life more difficult are obstacles such as ledges and outcrops, ice and clouds, you have to carefully manoeuvre around. Of course, you can only move downwards.

Looking good

Adding to the fun is the game's excellent presentation and graphics, even if the music gets repetitive really quickly.

There are currently 63 levels to play through, with leaderboard and achievements supported via Game Center.

Climber Brothers is out now for iPhone and iPad, priced 99c, €0.79 or 69p. There's also a Lite version for you to taste for free [iTunes link].

Check out how it plays in the following video.
