Clash Royale makes major new changes to Furnace, and a musical to accompany it!
Memoriesss, all alone in the moonlight-

- Clash Royale's biggest change yet to a longtime building came over the weekend
- The Furnace is now a unit, with feet and its own musical presentation
- It's a bold new change for a card that's been present since 2016, with new abilities to boot
Clash Royale has made perhaps one of its most dramatic changes so far to a longtime building. Specifically, transforming said building into a unit! That's because the long-neglected Furnace is getting a makeover, transforming it into something much more suitable for the recent updates Clash Royale has received.
Yes, Furnace now functions as a unit, summoning fire spirits while raining down magical missiles upon opposing troops. Longtime players will recognise its usual function, but the addition of new rangedo options and the fact that the furnace now moves definitely make a key difference.
It all comes off the back of other major updates to Clash Royale, such as the introduction of the Spirit Empress and Merge Tactics mode which dramatically changed up the strategy of Supercell's hit tower defence. And the update even came with its own musical-style trailer, produced by Gizmo Animation studio and featuring Swedish singer Mimmi Sandén.

Shine Bright like a furnace
Furnace has a few distinctions I found upon doing a bit of background research. It was the very first building to be added to Clash Royale and (so far) the only building to be turned into a unit. It also presents a pretty compelling picture that Supercell are set to make bold new changes. The changes to Trophy Road and Ranked mode, as well as the pretty major changes to something so long-lived as Furnace indicates that we can expect Supercell to be even more bold in their changes. And after ten years it may be high time for them to bring Clash Royale into the new decade proper.
In the meantime, if you're planning to jump back into Clash Royale and try this new version of Furnace out, don't get caught with a bad deck. Instead, check out our Clash Royale tier list for some of the best options out there!
