Championship Manager 10 will be a PSPgo launch title

Following on from Sony's press conference about its new mini download-only publishing program for the PSP and PSPgo, game announcements are coming thick and fast.

The most recent game to be unveiled, however informally via GamesCom bar talk, is Eidos' Championship Manager 10.

Our sources at the publisher tell us the game, which will be on PSP for the first time and competing with full retail game Football Manager Handheld 2010, is primed as a launch title due on 1st October.

Neatly this is a month before the release of Sega and Sports Interactive's Football Manager Handheld 2010.

Of course, if you know your football management history, Football Manager used to be called Championship Manager before developer Sports Interactive and publisher Eidos broke up, splitting the game title and game code between them.

It will certainly be fascinating to see how the two rivals compare on PSP/PSPgo.
