Ram sentient gangster trucks into oblivion in upcoming platform-puzzler Car Toons!

Clean up the city one tyre at a time in Car Toons!, a vehicular physics-puzzler coming to iPhone and iPad on July 26th.

Gangster cars are roaming the streets, you see, causing all manner of petrol-powered mayhem.

You must use emergency service vehicles (police cars, ambulances, and fire engines) to shove a potato up the exhaust pipe of lawlessness, and bring this carcinogenic crime wave to an end.

Each Car Toons! puzzle plays out over a single screen, and requires you to eliminate the rogue motors by moving platforms, flicking switches, and utilising explosives.

Of course, if all that fails, you can always try using good old-fashioned horsepower to barge the baddies off the screen and send them to the big scrapheap in the sky.

Inspired by popular Flash game Vehicles, FDG Entertainment's '80s-themed Car Toons! will roll onto iOS devices with over 100 levels, and Retina display support for owners of Apple's third-generation iPad.

Car Toons! will be available from the App Store for iPhone [69p / 99c] and iPad [£1.99 / $2.99] on Thursday July 26th.
