Captain America: The Winter Soldier is officially out now on iOS and Android

There's a bit in the new Captain America film where he punches a guy super-hard. It's because he's a super-soldier. And that's because he took some super-serum.

Everything is 'super' in Captain America's world. He has a shield, too. Some of that might have been a spoiler.

Anyway, because there's a new Captain America film out, there's also a new tie-in game out. It's made by Gameloft, and features tappy-slidey combat. In it, you lead Cap and some S.H.I.E.L.D. grunts through a series of tactical missions.

You need to take down a bunch of super-villains by doing violence in their general direction. One of them is called Puff Adder. He's not in the film, though. Unfortunately.

There's also asynchronous multiplayer here. Whether this involves Captain Americas from the multiverse punching one another has yet to be confirmed, and probably won't be confirmed.

If you're stuck, you can call on characters from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie to come and punch some guys for you. It's good to have friends who'll punch and shoot people for you. You might even say it's super.

There's a pretty cool comic book look to proceedings. It's a bit confusing, mind, because the film is actually quite dark. Well, as dark as a film about a man in spandex who throws a metal Frisbee around can be.

The game also has quite a lot of IAPs, especially when you consider its upfront £1.99 / $2.99 cost. And it needs an internet connection to work.

According to The Big G, this is to stop piracy and make sure no one cheats. Cheating isn't super.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is out now for Android [buy] and iOS [buy]. Super.
