Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will release for iOS and Android in 2023 with Android pre-registration now open

Activision has announced that Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will release for iOS and Android in 2023, with pre-registration available on the latter now. It promises to deliver the same 120-player experience you will be familiar with if you've played Warzone on PC or console.

That means you will drop into Verdansk and visit many familiar locations, such as Airport, Stadium, and Dam. You can travel across the map using various land-based vehicles and aircraft or walk if you don't rate your driving skills. Alongside vehicles, you expect enough weapon and Operator variety to find a playstyle that suits you best.

Throughout each match, you can collect Cash to spend on equipment, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks or Revive Tokens. You will want to earn as much Cash as possible, as stopping at a Buy Station could be the difference between a win and a loss. If you hit Verdansk in a squad, you can take on Contracts. These missions provide various rewards if you complete them, including Cash, XP, and Weapon XP.

If you've played Warzone on console or PC, you're probably already familiar with the Gulag. If not, it's a place where you can earn a second chance if you're killed on the battlefield. You will face off against another player in a small 1v1 bout where the winner's reward is to return to Verdansk.

Cross-progression

A big part of Activision's marketing for Call of Duty going forward is cross-progression. Warzone Mobile will feature the same weapons as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. That means that if you unlock a weapon or Operator in one game, it will be waiting for you when you boot up the others.

Similarly, Battle Pass progression will be shared across the three Call of Duty titles. Beyond that, your Friends lists and chat channels will persist on each game, meaning you can chat with your pals regardless of which one you're playing.

Customisable controls and mobile-exclusive content

To ensure that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is accessible to as many people as possible, Activision is promising control customisation. So, depending on your preferences, you should be able to tweak the controls to match them.

Activision also announced that Warzone Mobile will include content that's exclusive to the iOS and Android versions. That means events and custom playlists, among other bits and pieces.

Pre-order bonuses

To encourage you to sign up, Activision will give out several rewards if certain milestones get reached before release. The bonuses and milestones include:

  • 5M - Emblem - Dark Familiar
  • 10M – X12 - Prince of Hell
  • 15M - M4 - Archfiend
  • 25M - A currently unrevealed reward
