Vivendi Games Mobile gets smart with Magmic

Magmic Games has announced a deal to release several of Vivendi Games Mobile's titles for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones.

The games include Caesar (pictured), Crash Tag Team Racing, Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail, Shock Blocks, Surviving Hollywood, and The Legend of Spyro.

The games will be sold through Magmic's existing distribution partners, as well as its own Magmic.com and Bplay.com sites. Several will go on sale before Christmas.

The deal was signed in the US, so we're not sure if it applies to UK owners of these handsets, too – presumably if you have a credit card you'll be able to buy the games and sideload them onto your device.

BlackBerry gaming in particular is a fast-growing area, as you'll know if you read our recent interview with Magmic's Nicholas Reichenbach. The firm is striking several deals with mobile game publishers, so watch this space for more.
