A brand new city-builder from Lemur Software has launched onto the App Store, this time one that’s centered around our childhood dreams of building up a huge metropolis using nothing but our Lego blocks. Brictopia takes that idea and turns it into a fully fledged city simulator, where every building, vehicle, and piece of scenery can be made entirely by hand!

The block-based visual style is nothing too new, with games like Minecraft and Roblox using that sort of rectangular and cubic Lego design for all of their aesthetics. Brictopia, however, takes it to another level in the sense that every piece of everything is basically a full Lego piece in everything except the name.

This means that each piece has those lovely little notches that cause each to connect into each other, along with some jagged edges that give Lego sets their character. Imagine taking those full-on Lego pieces and using the ability to create an entire bustling city with them.

You’ll be able to make every single taxi, bus, airplane, and boat completely by hand utilising a workshop and a large variety of blocks. Brictopia even goes so far as to allow you to customise the colour of each brick, and includes the likes of glass textures, wheels, and the like to allow you to really take your designing skills to the next level.

Add in the ability to share a city with your friends and family using the AppleTV App, and you’ll all be able to create your own custom little portions of the city and watch as it comes to life with rivers, roads, and a bustling society. Create your police stations, then create the cars they use to keep the place safe. Create your football stadium, then create the bus line that takes players from one spot to another. The possibilities are endless!

All of this customisation and nostalgic brick building is available at the link below - and for only $1.99 too!
