Ubisoft's popular 2D fighter Brawlhalla has been updated to version 5.02 which introduces a brand new Legend to the game. They're called Magyar – The Spectral Guardian, the sole surviving member of the Batavian Strazci army.

Magyar wields both a Greatsword and Hammer in battle. In terms of stats, they have 5 Strength, 4 Dexterity, 9 Defense, 4 Speed. You can check out their launch trailer in the embedded video below to get a glimpse of the various moves at Magyar disposal.

In the aforementioned trailer, you can also see the three different skins that Magyar will arrive in the game with. They are called Golden Gladiator, Phantom of the Armor and Pharoah King. I'm a fan of Phantom of the Armor personally, but I'm easy to please with anything remotely spectral.

Elsewhere in Brawlhalla, the Brawl of the Week is Bubble Tag. In this 3v3 game variant, you'll strike your opponents to capture them in Gem Bubbles. When in this state those players cannot attack but they can be freed if their allies tag them.

To win Bubble Tag teams will need to earn five points. To score a point they'll need to capture the entire enemy team. Though bubbled players cannot attack, they still have limited movement so will be able to run towards their own teammates to be saved.

The latest patch also brings a plethora of other changes to Brawlhalla. If you're interested in the minutia of this update, check out the latest patch notes over on the game's official website.

Brawlhalla is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
