Action boss rush BOSSGAME: The Final Boss Is My Heart is coming soon to mobile and Steam, with the iOS and Android launch coming pretty soon this October 20th. The pixel-art Undertale-esque title features two queer protagonists as they go through the misadventures of daily life while taking down quirky enemies from evil rivals to demonic residents of Mammon City.

Lilycore Games' debut title puts Sophie and Anna - a sword priestess and a fire mage - front and centre as they try to make a living by hunting devils. Between the fast-paced battles, players will get a sneak peek at the lives of these two protagonists as they text their rivals and frenemies in a humorous display of the so-called mundaneness of everyday life.

"I made Bossgame as a challenge to myself," says Lillycore Games founder Lily Valeen. "I’ve always loved RPGs, and I wanted to make a game with that kind of story and character writing, and then I shrank it by making only boss battles, which are often the coolest part of those games anyway!"

"I also wanted to see if I could make an action game that felt really good to play on phones, and so I came up with a unique battle system. Finally, I really wanted to explore what it’s like to be IN a relationship - so many stories end right when a couple kisses, but there’s so much more to love than that. I wanted to see girlfriends fighting together, being romantic together, and arguing with each other. I’m really happy that I was able to pull off all three of these goals."

If you're eager to join in on all the fun and experience the game for yourself, you can check out BOSSGAME: The Final Boss Is My Heart on the iOS App Store or give it a go on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
