Bomberman Land Touch! 2 announced for DS
Prepare for more explosive fun
Given the current climate, a little man who wanders around and blows himself up at will might be a bit of a touchy subject matter.
In fact, if Bomberman wasn't so cute – if he looked a bit more like, say, Manhunt 2's asylum inmate Daniel Lamb – Gordon Brown would probably be getting advice right now on how to ban his evil, bombing ways for good.
Thankfully, Bomberman Land Touch! 2 – just announced by Hudson – is very cute. The original DS game came out last year and this follow-up is set to feature even more mini-games and plenty of similarly addictive multiplayer capers.
Bomberman is always best experienced against friends and this new game's no different, with its 40 crazy mini-games – such as Soccer Strike and river-rowing affair, Up The Creek – playable for up four individuals.
Of course, there's also the classic Bomberman Battle game included, with all new maps and power-up items, and up to eight are able to take part in a game wirelessly or using wi-fi. Single card and multi-card play is also supported.
There's something for the solitary player, too – namely an adventure game which follows a plot to defeat Evil Bomberman. Surprisingly, it even offers two alternative endings.
Bomberman Land Touch! 2 will be blasting its way to shops in January 2008.
