It seems Sega Japan has its fingers in quite a few pies at the moment. The company will be publishing World Destruction there this year, and news has just arrived that another RPG based on the popular Seishi Kishimoto manga Blazer Drive is in the works.

Blazer Drive is set in a futuristic Toyko where society has developed 'MyStickers' - adhesives that contain elements such as electricity, ice and light to help with day-to-day life. Certain people - known as Blazers - can activate MyStickers on their skin, which is what the series concentrates on.

According to a DS Fanboy story, in the game these can be applied to characters using the stylus to give them special attacks in its turn-based battles. The Blazers players will play as are Shiro and Tamaki, for those familiar with the manga.

The odds of Blazer Drive seeing a Western release are probably about a million-to-one, but we live in hope. Any Sega RPG is worth knowing about anyway - and there's always the import route for the dedicated fans.
