Black Desert Mobile launches major update with changes to gameplay progression and global trading

• Black Desert Mobile has unveiled a new update with wide-ranging changes
• The Americas, European and Asian markets have been merged
• And the new Adventuring Fervor mechanic offers a new approach to farming

An MMORPG is an ever-evolving creature. As far back as Ultima Online, one of the very first breakout successes in the genre, developers have had to tweak mechanics to appease their players. Now, there's a major overhaul to key systems coming today in Black Desert Mobile, including changes to gameplay progression, global trading and beyond.

Perhaps the biggest change is that of Adventuring Fervor. Intended to combat in-game grind, it offers a more flexible experience. You'll now be able to farm resources while you enjoy other content. Adventuring Fervor accumulates up to 60,000 points, resetting daily and reaching 60,000 monster kills in a single day will deplete it and yield the same combat EXP and rewards as you would have from 24 hours of farming.

There are other minor tweaks too, as loot in normal monster zones will drop instantly rather than requiring you to check the Spoils of Battle. Holy Vial of Light Consumption has also been halved, while a new Rush Event offers you chances to earn extra Vials.

Like water in a desert

Of course, that's the big news for the farmers. But if you're more concerned about trading, then the Merged Market will be the headline change. Black Desert Mobile will merge the Markets of the Americas, Europe and Asia into one whole. Intended to address the global in-game economic balance and address issues such as pricing discrepancies and access to rare items.

That's still barely scratching the surface with changes to PvP favourites Night of Vengeful Souls and Black Sun, as well as adjustments to the content unlock requirements. It's well worth checking in to see these new major changes in action!
