Baron of Blood sets you off on a quest for vengeance across a 2D retro-inspired platformer, out now
  • Pixel-art visuals and nostalgia galore
  • 24 levels and 5 zones to discover
  • Collect hidden diamonds and unlock achievements

Castle Village Games has announced the official launch of Baron of Blood, the studio's pixel-art platformer that tasks you with facing off against ghosts and ghouls in retro-inspired 2D. Also available on Steam and the Nintendo Switch, the side-scrolling adventure offers 24 levels across five zones, with each one hiding plenty of coins for you to discover and collect.

In Baron of Blood, you can look forward to buffing up your combat prowess with a wide variety of items that'll help you take down fiendish foes. It seems to be the type of title where everything from random crabs to gigantic bees is out to get you, so you have to make sure you're up to the task with each new level.

There will also be plenty of hidden diamonds to unearth, as well as satisfying achievements you can aim for while you're at it. After all, you were a mighty baron once, so to bounce back from your banishment, you'll need to do everything in your power and take your revenge on the dark mage who accused you of treason.
