Atomas is a stylish puzzler that initially seems a lot cleverer than it actually is.
The tutorial talks of fusing atoms, but it soon emerges that you don't need to be in the least bit scientifically minded. Atomas is actually a very simple matching game dressed up in a lab coat.
You place elements in a circle as they spawn randomly, placing the occasional plus symbols in between two matching elements to fuse them into a single element from further along the periodic table.
This opens the possibility of starting a chain reaction, which is where the real points are scored.
Once you get into its rhythm, Atomas reveals itself to be a very moreish puzzler, though it's not quite as smart as it first seems.
