Appxplore has released a new update for its mobile adventure game, Light a Way, to celebrate Eid. The update was originally supposed to be released last week but had been postponed to now.

Light a Way recognises the Muslim festival of Eid with this new star-studded event, where you collect fallen stars and exchange them for enchanted gift sets that contain bundles of powerful magic staffs and lightstones.

Stars can also be traded for the elegant Dancer Dress Set, which drapes your character in luxurious silks as she glides through the darkness and into light.

But the main highlight of Light a Way’s Eid celebrations is the exclusive Moon Dress Set, which is a starry night gown that is adorned with intricate constellations, topped off with a crescent moon headpiece. Overall, it enhances your attacks while also making you look elegant.

This month marks Eid al-Fitr, a festival that marks the breaking of the fast that occurs for Muslims during Ramadan. While practices vary from country to country, the festival typically features three days of celebrations, which include special morning prayers, special food is prepared at home, and people greet each other with “Eid Mubarak”, which means “Blessed Eid”.

Considering there are so many games that celebrate Christmas, Easter and other typically western, Christian holidays, it’s lovely to see Light a Way mark the celebration of Eid with some special in-game content.

You can download Light a Way from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it is a free to play game with adverts and in-app purchases.
