Pokemon Masters' Bug-Type Egg Event is now underway, with Scyther, Pinsir, Weedle and Venonat all obtainable

A few days ago the producers of Pokemon Masters released another in their series of messages to players. Among the announcements made in that post, they mentioned that Bug-Type Egg Event would be arriving soon. It turns out that meant incredibly soon as the event gets underway today.

The first of the Egg Events is set to run until August 3rd. During this time you'll be able to get Eggs from Professor Bellis that will hatch into various Bug Pokemon. Those Pokemon include Weedle, Venonat, Scyther and Pinsir. Of those, Scyther and Pinsir have a chance of hatching as a Shiny variant.

To collect these Eggs then, players will be able to take on a series of battles where the opponent's Pokemon will be weak to Bug-Type moves. Your chance of netting yourself an Egg from these battles will increase depending on the Sync Pairs being used. The following choices will boost the chances by various amounts:

  • Player Character Sync Pairs – x1.4
  • Player Character Bug-Type Sync Pairs – x1.8
  • Bug-Type Sync Pairs – x1.2

There will also be a series of missions added to the Poryphone during the event too. Completing these missions will net players 2-Star Berry Tarts, Power-Ups of various star levels and Eggs that will guarantee one Pinsir and Scyther.

Completing all of the missions will also net them 2 Egg Move Candy. The missions are the usual straightforward objectives, asking players to complete designated areas a set amount of times alongside using Sync Moves and supereffective attacks.

Finally, players will also have access to a Limited-Time incubator during the event. This means they'll be able to hatch Eggs more quickly without having to drop any real cash buying additional incubator slots.

Pokemon Masters is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
