Disc Golf Rival is an online multiplayer game for those who enjoy one of the world's fastest-growing sports, Disc Golf. When you play, you'll notice that it is extremely similar to the world-famous Golf Clash from a style standpoint. With that being said, there are some differences between these two giants.

For one, although disc golf has similar rules to traditional golf, it has a lot of differences. An example would be how the wind affects a golf ball versus a disc. Wind can affect golf ball flight certainly, but not in the way that it does with discs which are essentially frisbees.

Discs will turn much more if the wind is blowing against them. If you've played Golf Clash then you may have a head start on how the game operates, due to the playing perspective. It is still different, but it'll give you a tiny headstart. With all that said, here are a few simple tips for your chain-rattling experience.

Judge your throw power

Just because you're throwing frisbees, doesn't mean they won't bounce around a bit. Be careful when adjusting your throw power. It's easy to think that you need to put all of your might into a shot, but that's not always necessary.

Go lighter, and your discs will bounce or roll and give you some extra distance. It may not always go in the direction you want it to go, but at least it's not totally off-target. Now, just keep in mind that it depends on the course you're playing on.

The earliest courses are pretty short which means it's easier to overthrow them. But, once the courses start getting longer, you'll be able to put more power into your throws without worry. Just make sure you're accurate of course.

Play easier courses until you're ready

This is also applicable in Golf Clash, but in Disc Golf Rival, feel free to stick around with easier playing courses. This is a great way to practice, especially without a true, freeform practice mode. Work on your throw timing and power while trying to win.

When you win a certain amount of times, you will unlock bigger events with harder courses to play. Once you unlock them, go ahead and give it a try if you like. But, if you find it too difficult, then hold off for now.

The last thing you want to do is get frustrated because you feel like you're struggling. Just practice well, have some fun, and you'll be ready to advance in no time.

Unlock new discs

Collecting new discs is good fun. That's because you have some stylish designs that'll look good in your disc golf bag. But not only that, they make your game better so that obviously the biggest advantage. As with traditional golf, you have your clubs such as driver, putter, etc but in disc form.

By unlocking a new driver, you'll be able to gain some distance on your throws for example. You can earn them by playing games and winning chests. By cracking open some chests, you have an opportunity to get a new disc or upgrade a current one.

You can also go ahead and purchase some too from the shop. You'll be able to earn some currency by playing games which can then be used for the new discs. Free discs from chests? Some available in the shop? It's a win-win situation.
