Joyseed Gametribe's Rocky Rampage: Wreck 'em Up has proven to be a highly anticipated game since it was first announced, reportedly racking up 500,000 pre-registers on Google Play alone. Now, the game is finally available for both iOS and Android.

Rocky Rampage is intended to be a throwback to games of the early 2000s where you'd start each level by launching a character before trying to guide them as far as possible. In this case, you'll be slinging Boulder Cobblestone, who's an expert at rolling and crushing his enemies.

He's on a quest to retrieve his stolen Wonderpants and won't let something as trivial as a solid wall or minions stand in his way. So long as you can maintain a high speed then Boulder Cobblestone will be able to smash his way through whatever hazards the game throws at him. Slow down too much though and he'll become mortal again.

There will be a variety of enemies you'll face on your journey, each with their own attack patterns that you'll need to learn so that you can keep your speed as high possible. Some enemies you can even use for your own gain, riding them for a time as you gain more ground on the evil Empress Clipper's castle.

Rocky Rampage promises to be a straightforward game, making use of a one-tap control system, so it should be easy to pick up. Beyond the controls you'll be buying various upgrades to help Boulder travel further each time, this includes increasing the initial launch power, his aerodynamics, max speed and strength.

Rocky Rampage: Wreck 'em Up is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
