Exciting news today for fans of good games. Acclaimed publisher Annapurna Interactive has partnered with indie mobile legends Simogo for "the foreseeable future" to deliver some all-new titles. Their first collaboration, the award-winning Sayonara Wild Hearts, launched last year to critical and fan adoration.

"We have some very big news. After having worked together with our good friends at Annapurna Interactive on Sayonara Wild Hearts for quite some time, we realized that we really enjoyed making games together", said a blog post on Simogo's official site.

The team's synth-pop runner, Sayonara Wild Hearts, was one of my personal faves from last year thanks to its marriage of simple, mobile-friendly action and high-flying tunes. Those who've been gaming on mobile for a while will know Simogo is also responsible for classics such as Device 6 and The Sailor's Dream.

If you're at all concerned that this might mean they lose their indie touch, I mean, have you seen Annapurna's recent output? They've published some of the best games of the last five years, including Kentucky Route Zero, What Remains of Edith Finch, Donut County, Telling Lies, Gorogoa, and Florence.

"We're still going to be independent good old Simogo here in Malmö, but just with a little more possibilities, and less compromises". Exciting stuff, for sure.

If you're yet to treat yourself to playing Sayonara Wild Hearts, you'll find it available for download now from over on the App Store. It's an Apple Arcade title, meaning you'll need an active subscription to play. That said, it's also out on Switch if you'd rather buy it outright.
