Blitz Team's intense shooter, Battle Prime, is now available worldwide for iOS and Android following its soft launch back in June.

Blitz Team was founded last year by a small group of ex-World of Tanks Blitz developers. As its debut title, Battle Prime is no doubt hugely impressive, boasting console-quality visuals and the potential to take on the giants of the mobile shooter genre.

At its core, the game's a 6v6 team-based shooter with a simulator edge. Your character controls a little more heavily than twitch shooters like COD: Mobile, and it's generally more unforgiving. Part of the draw is that you're not just playing as a random military grunt, no sir, in Battle Prime you're a 'Prime Agent'.

These guys come with their own unique abilities and playstyles. You'll be able to switch between different agents on the fly in order to adapt to the pace of battle. Given the game's emphasis on rapid, tactical matches, decent teamwork will take you far. Going it alone is often a recipe for disaster.

Checking through recent user reviews, it's clear to see some are having to deal with annoying technical difficulties, including crashes and frame rate issues. Such annoyances are perhaps to be expected at launch as the developers continue to optimise the game for a range of iOS and Android devices.

Battle Prime's first season has now kicked off. You'll have the option to purchase an Elite Pass (basically a Battle Pass), which gives you access to exclusive rewards earned through gameplay.

"Creating Battle Prime has really been an incredible journey full of hard work for us at Blitz Team," said Stanislav Patskevich, Executive Producer for Battle Prime. "We are a small, tight-knit team, and I’m proud to have come together with them over this last year to create a game that is not only going to deliver fun and memorable experience at launch but a game we can keep growing for a long time to come."

You'll find Battle Prime available for download now from both the App Store and Google Play for free. And be sure to check out the game's official Twitter account to stay up to date on the latest news.
