Queen's Wish: The Conqueror will be available for iOS in December

Queen's Wish: The Conqueror was announced earlier this year following a successful Kickstarter campaign where it raised three times its initial goal. Now, following the release on Steam in September it will be heading to iOS devices on December 4th.

Since it's release on Steam it has received a fairly positive reception, so clearly people are enjoying the throwback to 80s style RPGs and a market for it definitely remains. It's not too surprising though given that this is what the developer, Spiderweb Software is known for having developed the Avernum series previously.

Their latest endeavour Queen's Wish is set in a land called Haven. Your story begins after your mother banishes you from the kingdom and challenges you to prove yourself worthy by reconquering Haven's lost colonies that are overrun with rebels. It's definitely a very extreme example of tough love, no doubt.

Whether or not you decide to do this will be your choice. You could decide to rebel against your previous homeland if you desire. There will be three different nations you'll meet on your journey and you can decide if you want them to be your allies or if you want to strike them down. You can do this through bribery, diplomacy or, in the striking them down option, violence.

When you're not dabbling in underhanded politics or diplomacy you'll fight your foes in turn-based battles, which based on the trailer you can see above, will feel very familiar if you've played any old-school RPGs. You'll also be able to build forts which will have multiple customisation options that can provide upgrades which provide stat bonuses to your party.

Queen's Wish: The Conqueror is planned for launch on December 4th this year for iOS. It will be a premium title though there is no set price yet.
