Million Lords is a multiplayer real-time strategy game that's been in beta since May. In that time, according to the developers, it has amassed a healthy player-base of around 100,000. It's a free-to-play game that's now officially launched on iOS and Android.
Million Lords aims to be a different prospect to other strategy games in the market. Instead of focusing on resource management and base building developers Million Victories wants the focus to be on wage effective warfare.
Instead of building up bases the borders of your kingdom will increase as you win battles and earn experience and loot. There won't be any AI to fight either, each fight you take on will be another player. Million Lords has a persistent, shared world so in theory, you could go on expanding your kingdom for quite some time. You can also team up with other players and make a clan to try and gain new territory together.
To kit out your army and choose your tactics there's craftable items and skill trees. There are over 60 items you can create in the game to make your forces stronger. There are also various weapons to loot with different rarities ranging from common to legendary.
As mentioned above the game world is persistent. This means that at the end of each season you'll be able to keep your ranking, items and alliances. You don't have to start from scratch each time, it's just a way to crown a winner of that season. I can see this being a good and bad thing depending on how difficult it makes it for new players to have any impact on the game.Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
