App Army Assemble: Crooked Path
Our community has its say on the super tough autorunner
This week, we gave our staunch collection of mobile gaming experts, the App Army, access to the super tough Crooked Path, which just launched today.
Crooked Path is a one touch puzzler / autorunner that attempts to convey a simple message: "The path to your destiny, will not always be a straight one."
Play it, and you'll immediately see that this message is as literal as it is lateral. You play as a man who's autorunning on a thin path, and has to frequently make sharp turns to stay on the path and reach the destination.

Loving this game. It's a hard core puzzler that feels really old school.
It's fast - thought it could be faster - and fun. I love the pick up and play feel to it. I do a level on my break at work then go back for more later.

It's a little gem. It can get a little same-y from time to time though.

After playing for 30 mins, I think the developer should work on the camera. Raise it a bit, and show some danger signs when the character turns.
It's not enough to keep me from playing, but the angle does make it very difficult to turn.

Crooked Path reminds me a lot of Ketchapps's Zigzag. It involves tapping at the right moment to change direction so you don't fall off the path.
But there's more to it than that.

The visuals are gorgeous and minimalistic - I like that in games.
It has a maze-like element to it. In order to beat a level, you'll have to press buttons, solve small puzzles and figure out the right route.
As Swapnil said, the camera angle makes it a bit hard to see when the character is in the right position to turn, but after a couple of levels you'll get used to it.
Despite the game only having 12 levels, they provide enough challenge to keep you busy for hours. If you're up to a challenge, Crooked Path might be the game for you!
