Google I/O 2016: Google Home is that creepy feature Minority Report predicted back in 2002
|

Remember that moment in Minority Report when Tom Cruise told the lights to come on in his house and they did? Well, Google has developed that very technology.

It's called Google Home, and it's coming out this year.

Google Home is, essentially, a speaker that you plug into the wall. And it listens to you.

Tell it to play music and it will. It also syncs up to your other gadgets and controls them as well. It's that AI we've been waiting for.

You can also install it in multiple rooms, but tell it to play music in a specific room. You could play the radio in the kitchen, music in the living room, and an audiobook in the bedroom all at once.

It can also sync up with your Chromecast, so you can tell it to play a YouTube video or a game.

We've saved the best feature till last though. You can ask Google Home a question and it will answer it. Imagine how frightening that could be for unsuspecting guests? We can't wait to try it.

If you want to grab it as soon as it lands, head on over to the official site and click 'get updates'.
