Previously, it was known that the 3DS remake of cult classic Sayonara UmiharaKawase was heading to PS Vita in Japan. But now we know it's heading to the US and Europe on Sony's handheld too.

It'll be called Sayonara UmiharaKawase Plus and will cost $19.99 when it arrives on the PlayStation Store in the US on April 21st.

Unfortunately, Europe hasn't got a price or a release date yet. It will, however, be after Japan gets the game on April 23rd.

It's essentially exactly the same as the Bronze Award-winning 3DS version (Yumi's Odd Odyssey in the US), just outfitted for the Vita.

That means that you'll be helping Japanese shushi chef Umihara out across the same 60 levels. It will run at 60fps, though, and you'll be able to watch other players' best runs, as well as compete against them.

What defines the 20-year-old series above all (apart from its peculiar fishy theme) is Umihara's rubber fishing line. This lets him dangle from platforms to avoid fish enemies, spikes, and watery pits.

In this version of the game there are three other playable characters with unique abilities of their own.

It also comes with the original UmiharaKawase game from 1994 as a bonus, along with a nostalgic bonus sound track.
