Bounty Rush is a new fast-paced Wild West-based endless-shooter for iPhone
Hot dang
Pew-pew, take that, outlaws. You'll never escape my shotgun-based justice.
Oh, bother, I've run into a river and I'm dead. Life in the Wild West sure is hard.
Or at least the digital approximation of it presented for your gaming pleasure in Bounty Rush is.
You play a bounty hunter sprinting through the rugged pixel-art terrain of the Old West. There are railroad tracks, rivers, wigwams, and all manner of crates scattered across your multi-laned path.
By swiping up on the screen, you change the lane you're in. By tapping on the right, you fire out a scattershot blast from your deadly shotgun.
You've got three lives per run, by the way. If you let a bad guy escape, shoot anyone that isn't an outlaw, or run into any of the obstacles in your path, you'll lose one.
In other words, you're going to die a lot. Usually in ignominy after forgetting to shoot someone in the face.
The game is fast paced and twitchy from the get-go. Plus, you do feel pretty compelled to keep going every time you die.
Bounty Rush is out now on the App Store. It won't cost you a penny to pick it up and have a go. So, you don't really have any excuse, do you?
