Updated on November 8th, at 9:09: Rayman Fiesta Run has now landed on Android. Get it from Google Play for £1.99 / $2.99, if you think you're up for the challenge.

Rayman Fiesta Run is the hotly anticipated follow-up to awesome auto-runner Rayman Jungle Run. More importantly than that, though, it has just hit the App Store, and will land on Google Play soon.

Like in his previous mobile game, limb-challenged hero Rayman automatically bounds across gorgeous hand-painted obstacle courses here, leaving you to worry about jumping and punching.

This one's set in a world of carnivals, festivals, and food. There are levels made from chocolate and Pop Tarts; there are fireworks and piñatas; and there are cocktail umbrellas and strings of spices.

Also new in this sequel are a pair of new moves (swimming and shrinking), boss battles, and remixed Invasion stages (for a more difficult version of every level in the game).

In our hands-on preview of Rayman Fiesta Run in September, we noted that this sequel comes with boosts ("such as the ability to improve the reach of your attacks, or see the optimum line for each level") that you can buy with in-app purchases.

They didn't affect our enjoyment of the game, though. We gave it a Gold Award, and said that "Rayman Fiesta Run is another giddy and breathless mix of memory and reflexes. It's not much different from its prequel, but the added challenge is welcome."

Fancy it? The game costs £1.99 / $2.99 on iOS. We'll give you a shout when it runs, jumps, kicks off a wall, bounces off a sausage, kicks open a piñata, and lands on Google Play.
