Having announced an aggressive expansion plan, Gamevil (KOSDAQ 063080) has made its first developer investment.

It hasn't given hard figures but it has made 'an equity investment' into Korean start-up Relax Games.

Set up by the team behind PC MMOG Rohan and Lineage II, Relax is the first participant in Gamevil's Companion program.

Relex's first project is an untitled social-network game that will utilise Gamevil's Circle social network

"Participating in Gamevil's start-up support program has instilled confidence through its strong development and publishing know-how," said Relax's CEO Il Seung Lee.

"The investment will not only strengthen the quality of our games, but provide a good measure on how developers and publishers can collaborate together."
