YoYo Games, the Scottish publisher behind games like Froad and They Need to be Fed, has released a crowd-pleasing pair of free-to-play games on Google Play.

Simply Minesweeper and Simply Word Search are available to Android gamers looking for a quick and low-investment gaming diversion.

Simply simple

Simply Minesweeper delivers the classic Windows game experience with updated HD graphics, new sound effects, new animations, and eight difficulty levels (ranging from Easy to Nuclear).

Amidst the new flash, the gameplay remains relatively unchanged with players able to create their own levels and sweep for mines just as they have in previous incarnations of the game.

Diagonally

Simply Word Search offers a broad range of word search options for players to choose from.

With 48 free categories available ranging from pirates to animals, and 3-5 board sizes to choose from (three for phones, five for tablets), the variety of play levels should meet the most discriminating of gaming procrastinator’s standards.

In addition to the classic (Universal) gameplay mode, YoYo Games spiced up the gameplay with the addition of a timed (Survival) mode as well.

With a combined 64 unlockable achievements between Simply Minesweeper and Simply Word Search, there’s a good amount of content for players to explore in the relatively simple - but addictive - gameplay.
