Nintendo's forthcoming 3DS software update - which was expected to arrive this month - has been delayed, and is now on course to hit handhelds in December.

According to The Big N's official website, the anticipated update is "in the final stages of internal testing and will be available by December 8th".

The shiny new firmware will grant your 3DS the ability to record up to ten minutes of 3D video, and stitch together all of your still snaps into your very own stop-motion masterpiece.

Furthermore, the upgrade will introduce new content for the 3DS's StreetPass, Mii Plaza, and SpotPass features, such as new adventure game Find Mii II.
