Rumour: PS Vita will play all PS3 games remotely after firmware upgrade
|

According to Eurogamer, a forthcoming PlayStation 3 firmware update will allow users to play their PS3 games remotely on PS Vita.

The article, which doesn't name a source, claims that the current PS3 library will be remotely playable at the PSP resolution of 480x272.

It also claims that PS3 developers will be able to include a Vita-specific 480p mode to take full advantage of the device's 960x544 pixel screen.

Vita Remote Play has been demonstrated in public before, proving the Vita is capable of both streaming PS3 games and cross-platform multiplayer. However, the full extent of the handheld's remote functionality has remained something of a mystery.

Sony has declined to comment.
