E3 2011: Capcom bringing new freemium title Monster Pet Shop and Street Fighter IV follow-up to iPhone

Capcom is about to add another title to its already bustling freemium bag with social collect-'em-up Monster Pet Shop.

Taking control of a long-lost relative's monster-packed pet shop, you're tasked with collecting, breeding, caring for, and selling a range of strange mutant beasties.

You can get your hands on 20 different breeds of monster and over 100 unique looking brutes.

With the help of friends, you can share special monster eggs to boost your collection, or even play offline if you can't find a network connection.

Monster Pet Shop will be a free download, but will contain in-app purchases should you want to speed up your progress. Expect it soon.

Battle the best

Perhaps even more exciting is the news of a forthcoming sequel to Capcom's Silver Award-winning Street Fighter IV.

Street Fighter IV: Volt Battle Protocol will feature a roster of 18 new characters, with favourites Balrog, Vega, and Cody making their iOS debuts.

In addition, you'll finally be able to duke it out with your friends over wi-fi in this follow-up edition.

No price has been given by Capcom, but you can expect Street Fighter IV: Volt Battle Protocol soon - possibly as soon as July.

Until then, check out the brawler in action below.
