Along with the hotly-anticipated unveiling of the Xperia Play earlier, Sony Ericsson also demonstrated two other new members to the Xperia family – the Xperia Pro and Neo.

The Neo is the most striking of the two, looking a lot like a sat-nav set from certain angles, and a normal phone when it’s sitting down flat.

Sony Ericsson calls it 'stunning design language', but 'odd' is perhaps a better term.

Doing the do

Meanwhile the Pro [pictured] is how you’d expect something named 'Pro' to look – a slide-out QWERTY keyboard slapped underneath the Arc’s shell for business users to tap away on during meetings.

Despite the different stylings of the two machines, the internal pieces are nigh-on identical, with both running Android 2.3, and packing a 1 GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor.

Like the Arc before them, both devices also come with what Sony Ericsson describes as Reality Display, thank to the Bravia engine that powers the screen.

The Xperia Neo should be available from the end of the first quarter (next month, most likely), whereas the Pro should be networking with European carriers by the end of the summer.
