Nintendo has confirmed the eight titles that will be launching alongside the 3DS in Japan on February 26th.

Among the titles are 3D versions of large franchises such as Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV, Namco’s Ridge Racer 3D, and Level 5’s Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle.

There’s also the Japanese version of Pro Evolution Soccer - Winning Eleven; another portable outing for the most marmite of action games, Samurai Warriors: Chronicle; and the inevitable appearance of Puzzle Bobble 3D, which retains the honour of having appeared on every major iteration of a Nintendo handheld console.

Surprisingly, there’s a distinct lack of in-house Nintendo games for the machine, with just Nintendogs & Cats making it to the starting gates in time for launch.

Not so surprisingly is that Ubisoft is the sole Western showing, having been a strong supporter of both the DS and Wii at launch, with a game that sounds like a bad cable TV natural history programme - Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D.

The full list of Japanese launch titles and their respective publishers can be found below:

Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Ubisoft)
Nintendogs & Cats (Nintendo)
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle (Nintendo)
Puzzle Bobble 3D (Square Enix)

Super Street Fighter IV 3D (Capcom)
Winning Eleven Soccer 3D (Konami)
