We've known the future of mobile is multi and/or cross platform for months, but as 2010 draws to a close, we're starting to see the first real evidence of companies putting it into practise.

Ngmoco's finally got onto Android with Pocket God, and will be releasing We Rule there too. It's also bringing Pocket God to Windows Phone 7.

Another large publisher is following suit is Namco, although to be fair, it's been releasing games on Android since August.

Three-way split

Its latest demonstration of its cross platform muscle comes in the shape of Puzzle Quest 2; the RPG match-three hybrid released on XBLA, PC and DS in the summer.

Launched for iPhone and iPad at the start of December, Namco will have the Windows Phone 7 version out before the end of 2010, with the Android release due in early 2011.

The other significant aspect of the deal is the price. Puzzle Quest 2 is selling for $9.99, something that would have been considered unsustainable on these platforms earlier in 2010.
