Square Enix is offering the PSP some surprisingly sterling support in 2011 by announcing some release dates for four titles on the system.

Lord of Arcana looks the first to arrive, with a February release date for Europe and January the 25th for the US. It’s a four player action game which seems to involve fighting increasingly dangerous foes in sprawling arena landscapes.

Arriving “shortly after” will be Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, another entry in the long running strategy series. Several members of the game’s original development team are on board and it looks as if they are attempting to re-invent the series for a new audience.

Next comes Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy, a follow up to the fighting-action-RPG Dissidia Final Fantasy. With plenty of characters from the Final Fantasy universe making an appearance this doesn't exactly look an ideal entry point for newcomers to the series. Square Enix has only given the game a vague 2011 release date for those in the US and Europe at the moment, although they have confirmed Japan is to get the title in early 2011.

Finally, and arguably the most promising of the four, is The 3rd Birthday, the latest entry in the Parasite Eve series. An action packed third person shooter with graphics to die for, the game has a vague 2011 release date for Europe but is expected to arrive in the US sometime during Spring.

Square Enix has promised details on special additions for all four games, as well as concrete release dates, "soon." How soon "soon" exactly is though, is anyone’s guess. More news as we get it.
