Prepared to delve into all aspects of development on Android, DroidCon 2010 will hit London in October.

Organisers expect up to 600 attendees to make their way to the Angel Business Design Centre in Islington between October 28-29, with everyone from developers and platform holders to manufacturers and the media represented.

Describing the first day as a barcamp day – where the audience is invited to propose the topics up for discussion – the second day of DroidCon will follow a more conventional format, with the keynote presentations already detailed on the website.

Speakers confirmed include Reto Meier from Google, Android developer advocate Roman Nurik, InMobi's Limvirak Chea and Russell Buckley from AdMob.

Discussion derby

"After some morning introductions everyone is invited to add their talk or conversation point to a list of topics assembled on the day," the organisers say of the event's opening day.

"The most popular items are then allotted time in rooms according to their popularity with the attendees."

Topics on the second day include the implementation of Android beyond mobile, how to develop a strong app concept, and how to maximise revenue from titles on the platform.

DroidCon 2010 will also play host to London's first App Circus – a travelling showcase of the most creative and innovative apps, presented by their creators.

Those looking to attend can register for a place on DroidCon's website. Early Bird tickets are available for a total price of £150.11.
