Imported iPads now work with your UK iTunes account

The iPad isn't out in the UK for another week, but if you imported your iPad from the US this is your lucky day.

Apple has now unlocked the UK App Store for iPad-related business, allowing imported iPads to access UK iTunes accounts.

Before now, importers have had to set up a US iTunes account to download apps for their US iPad.

But with eight days to go until the iPad launches in the UK on 28th May, users can cut out the awkward work-around and set their own UK iTunes account up for iPad use.

Syncing with your UK iTunes account will now work, along with downloading any apps from the UK store. See, there was a point to importing! Kinda.
