WiFiSync App rejected by Apple
|

Last month, we showed you a newly designed App that lets you sync up to iTunes without a pearly white cable getting in the way. We wrote: "The app will be submitted to Apple soon, but there's a tremendous chance that the smartphone overlords will reject it."

We were right. Apple has thrown down the gauntlet and forbidden developer Gerg Hughes from selling WiFiSync through the App Store.

Speaking to Engadget, Hughes said Apple admitted, "the app doesn't technically break the rules," but "it does encroach upon the boundaries of what they can and cannot allow on their store." Security concerns were also raised.

That hard work and nifty development won't be going to waste though, especially if your iPhone is jailbroken. Hughes has thrown the app onto Cydia (a blackmarket equivalent of the App Store which deals in hacks and tweaks) for $9.99.
