Namco answers complaints by providing more content

Ace Combat Xi update to add missions, planes on iPhone

More missions and planes are expected in a surprise update to Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion.

Namco Bandai announced the update in response to complaints over the game's lack of content, of which we have been among the most vocal critics.

While we stand by our review, this is a good faith effort on the part of Namco and it's great to see the company respond so quickly to customers.

Three additional missions will be included in the update, bringing the number of single player campaign missions to eight. The missions will be provided free of charge.

New airplanes require purchase, however. Aircraft from manufacturers Euro Fighter, Sukhoi, Mig and Mitsubishi are slated for availability around the time the update goes live. Each will cost 59p/99c.

The update is being prepared for submission in the next few days, with Namco hoping for it to go live before the Christmas holiday.

Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion is available now on iPhone and iPod touch for £2.99/$4.99.
