Nokia shows us the future of mobile technology

Predicting the future is a tricky business, as thousands of sheepish bankers will attest to. Nokia thinks it’s got a pretty good idea of where mobile technology is headed, though.

At the company’s recent The Way We Live Next conference in Finland, Nokia showed a video featuring a mock up of a sleek, keyboardless device that sits somewhere between its imminent N900 and an internet tablet.

The company's vision for the future seems like a fairly logical extension of where we are now - intelligent services (such as navigation) that learn from your past interaction and advanced cloud computing.

There’ll still me multiple devices of all shapes and sizes (including a dual-screen DS-style device, it seems), but your profile will switch between them effortlessly.

Check out the video for the full lowdown.
