We've been following the Korean-made, Android-powered gaming device, the ODROID, for a few weeks now, and although we don't know too much about it at this point it's easily as fascinating as any Google OS handset, as well as with the promise of greater gaming.

The ODROID has the same processor as the iPhone 3GS behind its touchscreen, but manufacturer Hardkernal has been pushing its multimedia capabilities recently to demonstrate the device's versatility.

Previously we saw SNES games and videos being played on an HDTV via an HDMI connection (very nice). This week, we witness the ODROID acting as a music player.

True, much of it is down to the free Android music player RockOn, but it's interesting to see how the device plays music in the background while you return to the operating system home screen.

Have a butcher's, and let us know what you think.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
