Mobile analytics company Flurry is suggesting a similar tactic is just as effective on the App Store, with strong keywords bringing games and applications to the top of an iTunes search list far more effectively than simple descriptions.

It's a well known secret on the web, and if iTunes accepts requests in a similar manner developers are going to have to learn the delicate art of search engine optimisation if they want to get noticed on the iPhone.

Indeed, there's probably a whole SEO sub-industry waiting to spring up and fudge apps to the top of an App Store search list with a few choice phrasess.
