E3 2008: PSP on track to sell 15 million worldwide in 2008
It's managed 1.6m so far this year in the US
Sony's E3 conference is going on as we type, but the company has just announced that it remains confident of selling its projected 15 million PSPs in the 2008 fiscal year.
So far it's managed 1.6 million units in the US alone, and the handheld has been doing better in Japan but by our calculations it's going to need some major Christmas performance to make those predictions.
Then again, we're not part of Sony's financial team and assume they know what they're saying. So it's all positive, then.
