Digital Chocolate is giving mobile gamers the chance

Fancy a job running The Sopranos' Bada Bing! nightclub?

Digital Chocolate has announced its first branded game, and it'll have Sopranos fans jumping for joy. The Sopranos Bada Bing! Manager puts you in charge of the mafia family's flagship business, in control of decoration, dancing girls and crafty booze-dilution to drive profits.

The game will feature all your favourite characters, including Tony, Paulie and Silvio, as well as the risk of being busted by the cops if you get too cocky. We're not sure how much casual murder is included though.

It's being released this month, albeit in the US on mobile operator Cingular, as part of broadcaster HBO's mobile line-up.

Now, experienced mobile gamers may have noticed from the screenshots and description that the game sounds a bit... familiar.

That's because it's based on an existing Digital Chocolate game called Night Club Empire, which came out earlier this year, although it slipped through the Pocket Gamer review net. It was great, although we're not sure if we'd want to pay again just because it's been rebranded with The Sopranos.

Still, The Sopranos Bada Bing! Manager may be a sign that Digital Chocolate is planning to release more branded games based on TV shows, films and so on in the next year – which given the publisher's famed creativity, is A Good Thing indeed.
