'The most beautiful mobile puzzle game yet' is quite a boast, but Astraware seems confident that its new puzzler Glyph has the looks to carry it off. It's billed like the Helen Of Troy of the mobile games world. Except with less Greek blokes fighting over it, obviously.

The game has you reassembling ancient glyphs in order to save a dying world called Kuros. How? By clearing away groups of same-coloured gemstones to break through layers of rock to reach the glyphs, of course, while scooping helpful power-ups along the way.

Glyph has five elemental areas and 125 levels in its Quest mode, with more than 100 levels in the separate Action mode. It's based on a popular PC game, and promises atmospheric sound effects and an 'ethereal' soundtrack (that is, Enya-esque).

The game is out now, although you'll need a smartphone to run it (which means those running recent versions of the Palm OS or Windows Mobile operating systems).
